OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2009. Investigating an antimonopoly case, the Saratov Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) established the fact that "Managing Company Volzhsk Housing Company" Ltd. violated Article 16 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition". The company was engaged in competition-restricting concerted actions that are forbidden by the antimonopoly legislation of the Russian Federation. "Managing Company Volzhsk Housing Company" Ltd. exercised concerted actions with the Volzhsk District Authority, Saratov, and "Managing Company Volzhsk Housing Company - 1" Ltd. in organising open meetings of the owners of housing premises in the Volzhsk District of Saratov for selecting the method of housing managements. Those concerted actions restricted competition on the market of apartment block management services, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Later OFAS Russia initiated administrative proceedings against "Managing Company Volzhsk Housing Company" Ltd. and "Managing Company Volzhsk Housing Company - 1" Ltd. under Article 14.32 ofd the Code on Administrative Violations.

On 15th June 2009, the Saratov OFAS Russia fined Managing Company Volzhsk Housing Company" Ltd. 142,988.72 Rubles and on 22nd June the OFAS Russia's Commission processed the case against Managing Company Volzhsk Housing Company" Ltd. and fined the company 44,548.89 Rubles.

Bothe companies disagreed with the decision of the Saratov OFAS Russia and filed claims to the Saratov Regional Arbitration Court.

The Saratov Regional Arbitration Court dismissed the claims of "Managing Company Volzhsk Housing Company" Ltd. and "Managing Company Volzhsk Housing Company - 1" Ltd. and pronounced legitimacy of the determinations on imposing fines.
