OREANDA-NEWS. July 1, 2009. Belarus is ready to help Azerbaijan to intensify manufacture of Byelorussian motor trucks MAZ and MTZ tractors at Ganja Motor Works.

Byelorussian ambassador Nilokay Patskevich to Azerbaijan says that the Byelorussian delegates have met today with the Ganja enterprise’s management.

“The process of state registration of a joint venture between Azerbaijan and Belarus is under completion. In fact practical work of the JV has been launched and preparing for start of its production is underway. Staff potential and technical capacity will allow tackling all its problems in the future. There is no doubt that work of the JV will begin already this year and soon Azerbaijan will be able to export agricultural equipment to other countries,” Patskevich said.

Besides trucks, the Ganja automobile plant also assembles tractors “Belarus”. The contract for assembling and sale of all kinds of motor trucks and tractors was signed between Ganja Motor Works and Minsk Tractor Plant in Minsk at the end of November in 2006.
