OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 July 2009 was announced, that Moscow International Airport Domodedovo organized a traditional spotting event, for amateurs and professionals of aviation photography.

True photo-hunting fans could not event be stopped by the rain that started from early morning. This time over 100 photographers registered for the event, and it was held for two days.

All photographers present on the apron got an opportunity to film aircraft of Domodedovo partner-airlines during take-off, landing and taxiing.

"This is by far not my first spotting event at Domodedovo and the fact that this time the event was conducted for two days reflects two most important trends. First of all – the amount of aviation photography enthusiasts is growing. Secondly, the spotting movement in our country is developing and being supported, it is great that Domodedovo organizes regular spotting events, due to this more and more people become interested in aviation. Every airport is interesting to a spotter, Domodedovo is quite attractive due to the amount of Russian and foreign partner airlines and, ofcourse, loyalty to photographers. Such openness stimulates the society to support the aviation industry," – said Fedor Borisov, aviation photographer, member of the Russian Avia Photo Team.
