OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 July 2009 was announced, that launch of a turbine unit with advanced capacity had been carried out at Irkutskenergo Novo-Ziminsk CHP. After the reconstruction of the station in 2008-2009, electric capacity of the turbine unit No.2 will grow by almost 20 megawatt. An opportunity to get maximum results of the modernization will appear in winter when a need for electric power will grow and a necessity to cover heat loading in the context of low temperature will appear.

The CHP is ready to carry out additional electric power in the amount of 20 megawatt along with former steam spending of 470 ton an hour. To increase capacity of the unit, an air-gas channel and rotor of low pressure were modernized. Development of the project and production of modernized components was carried out by “Teploenergoservis” Ekaterinburg plant. Their replacement was carried out by experts of “Irkutskenergoremont”, JSC/

JSC Irkutskenergo will re-compensate investments in the reconstruction in the amount of about RUR 100 million within next eight years in case of the market’s animation.

According to experts, electric power consumption will increase up to monthly 5-7% by 2012 in spite of a timely decrease in 2009. To solve the problem of shortfall liquidation, JSC Irkutskenergo is being carried out a serious work within the frameworks of a general target program which provides for modernization of equipment in the following branches: CHP-11, CHP-9, CHP-12, Novo-Ziminskaya CHP. The aim is to get additional capacities.

JSC Irkutskenergo is Siberia’s biggest and one of Russia’s biggest energy companies which includes heat and hydroelectric stations as well as heat grids. Total capacity of the company’s electric stations is 12.9 gW including more than 9 gW at HPPs. The state owns 40% of shares of JSC Irkutskenergo. In the interests of En+ Group, a huge share holding belongs to “EuroSibEnergo” which is a large independent energy company.
