OREANDA-NEWS. July 7, 2009. On the threshold of KAMAZ General Shareholders’ Meeting, representatives of Daimler AG (Germany) visited KAMAZ enterprises and held negotiations with KAMAZ management and discussed issues of their cooperation.

The German delegation was headed by Hubertus Troska – Executive Vice-President, Head of Mercedes-Benz Trucks (Europe/Latin America), Daimler AG.

In the course of the negotiations the parties confirmed an intention to develop their all-round cooperation and planned its concrete areas. In particular, they discussed projects for mounting special superstructures produced at the enterprises of KAMAZ Inc. on Mercedes truck chassis, for organizing delivery of KAMAZ-Metallurgy production to enterprises of the German company and its use in Mercedes trucks. They came to an agreement on sharing of experience between Daimler and KAMAZ Inc. in the sphere of industrial engineering and adoption of advanced technologies at KAMAZ and also on KAMAZ personnel training. Besides, KAMAZ Inc. will use experience of the German company in organization of purchases of high-quality components for their trucks.

On 26 June Hubertus Troska participated in the general shareholders’ meeting of KAMAZ Inc. and answered journalists’ questions. He highly appreciated crisis management measures implemented by the KAMAZ management and expressed confidence in prospects of the two companies’ cooperation.
