OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2009. In the first half of 2009, Commercial Port of Vladivostok OJSC handled 2,638,500 tonnes of cargo (-16%, year-on-year) having fulfilled 66% of the annual plan for cargo handling, the company’s press center informs.

In the reported period, transshipment of export cargo totaled 1.849 million tonnes (+8%), import - 410,900 tonnes (-54%), coastal trade cargo – 378,600 tonnes (-31%).

In January-June 2009, the port’s container terminal handled 86,350 TEU (-28%, year-on-year) including 29,894 TEU of export, 26,327 TEU of import, 30,129 TEU of coastal trade cargo.

In the second quarter of 2009 Commercial Port of Vladivostok handled  1,534,900 tonnes of cargo including 1,089,900 tonnes of export cargo; 239,200 tonnes of import cargo, 205,800 tonnes of coastal trade cargo. The port’s container terminal handled 44,363 TEU including 14,200 TEU of export, 13,754 TEU of import and 16,409 TEU of coastal trade cargo.  

In June the port handled 515,200 tonnes of cargo (up almost 5%) including 338,200 tonnes of export cargo; 100,700 tonnes of import cargo; 76,300 toones of coastal trade cargo. The port’s container terminal handled 14,725 TEU including 5,218 TEU of coastal trade cargo, 4,937 TEU of import and 4,570 TEU of export.

The core of the handled volume falls on metal goods.
