OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2009. Kazakhstan’s Asia Continental Airlines is going to invest into the fleet renewal of Gomelavia Airlines, announced Igor Zakharenko, the deputy director of Gomelavia.

According to him, the two companies signed a protocol of intentions on 14 July. The document contains the main investment guidelines.

The fleet renewal will allow Gomelavia to expand the number of destinations and to increase the passenger traffic, said Igor Zakharenko.

The Gomelavia Airlines company was founded in 1944. The company operates domestic charter flights and international cargo and passenger traffic. The Gomel airport is also used for transit flights of business-aviation.
