OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2009. The Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan expressed its position in respect to conflict between two domestic cellular operators.

Deputy communication minister Elmir Velizadeh says that each operator should take into account rights of its subscribers.

“If any disagreements appear between mobile communication operators, then they should be settled in compliance with Azerbaijani legislation. We don’t consider the occurred conflict right as in this case subscribers’ rights are violated. Such conflicts should be settled by negotiations and in accordance with legislation. If the conflict is not settled through negotiations, then we, as a body possessing certain authority, will be able to take steps within the framework of legislation,” Velizadeh said.
