OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 July 2009 was announced, that during the first half of 2009 Koryazhma branch of Ilim Group (Ilim West Business Unit) produced over 432 thousand tones of pulp and paper production. Compared to the same period of 2008, pulp and paper production went down 14 %.

Market pulp production fell 32% to 124 thousand tonnes.

Containerboard production at 124 thousand tonnes, was up 11% versus prior year. Containerboard production was increased due to realization of anti-crisis program, aimed on producing goods in demand.

Paper production totaled 98 thousand tonnes, 25% down compare to the the first half of 2008. Bag paper production was 34 thousand tonnes, offset paper — 52 thousand tonnes, and wall paper — 10 thousand tonnes.

Pulping went down by 16% to 458 thousand tonnes. Round wood delivered to Koryazhma Branch was 2071 thousand m3, 22% down year-over-year.

In December 2008 Ilim Gofra has joined Ilim West Business Unit. In the first half of 2009 it produced over 25 million m2 of corrugated board production.
