OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 July 2009 was announced, that unsold inventories of Belarusian industrial companies increased 1.3% in June to 7.357 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of July 1, 2009, an official with Belarus’ Statistics Ministry told.

Overstocks were at 94.6% of the average monthly production volume as of July 1, 2009, up from 53% on January 1, 2009.

Inventories of engineering and metalworking companies increased 2% on the month in June to 3.558 trillion rubles, of light industry companies 2.9% to 648 billion rubles, of fuel companies 120% to 85 billion rubles, and of food companies 2.3% to 1.257 trillion rubles.

Ferrous metal companies reported a 14.1% decrease in stocks to 195 billion rubles; woodworking and paper industry companies’ and chemical and petrochemical companies’ inventories went down 2.8% to 335 billion rubles and 4.4% to 735 billion rubles, respectively.

Inventories of construction materials companies remained unchanged in June at 269 billion rubles.

In June, inventories refrigerators increased 3.6% to 256,400 units and of trucks rose 8.4% to 4,275 units.

Inventories of washers went down 12.6% to 38,800 units, of sugar 14.2% to 193,400 tonnes, of cement 35.2% to 32,400 tonnes, of televisions 4.7% to 148,800 units, of mineral fertilizers 29.4% to 3,600 tonnes, and of chemical fibers 12.9% to 10,100 tonnes.
