OREANDA-NEWS. On July 24, 2009 the FAS Russia's Commission started legal proceedings in the case against "Microsoft" Corporation for the elements of violating the antimonopoly legislation. According to the Determination, the FAS Russia's Commission granted the Microsoft's petition and suspended the case until 7th September 2009, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS Russia initiated the case against "Microsoft" Corporation for violating Clauses 4 and 6 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" on 4th June 2009. FAS Russia suspects that "Microsoft" Corporation violated the antimonopoly legislation by economically or technologically unjustified termination of production and supplies of "Microsoft Windows" operational systems for PC in the Russian Federation (box versions - distributives of "Windows XP" OS) and reducing supplies of pre-installed OS for sale in new computers, as well as fixing different prices for "Windows XP" OS.
