OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 August 2009 was announced, that OJSC Kovdorsky GOK, a division of EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Company, had organised industrial internships for 100 students from leading Russian institutes for mining and processing industry specialists – Moscow State Mining University, Saint Petersburg (G.V. Plekhanov) Mining University, the Kolsky Branch of Petrozavodsk State University, and others.

As part of their practice, students will become acquainted with the operation of Kovdorsky Mining and Processing Plant, acquire practical industrial skills, and thus be able to integrate theoretical and practical concepts into their graduation papers. Kovdorsky GOK’s management team organised a meeting with future industry specialists to have a detailed discussion of the company’s prospects, employment opportunities for graduates becoming young specialist. Today 100 new employees were designated as young specialists, with 40 of them holding engineering and technical positions.

Through EuroChem’s HR program, the partnership between Kovdorsky GOK and the country’s leading educational establishments strengthens the effectiveness of the company’s human resources, ensuring that specialists with the most modern, innovative knowledge of the mining industry are involved in the production process. Kovdorsky GOK is virtually the only enterprise in the region that has not suspended its personnel development programme during the recent crisis, and actively invites future mining and processing specialists for training and internship.
