OREANDA-NEWS. On August 07, 2009 the Non-Commercial Partnership "Equal Right to Life" and the insurance company Allianz ROSNO Life signed an agreement. The parties have agreed to cooperate in the field of implementation of the systematic oncological disease prevention and fighting program. Pursuant to the provisions of the agreement, Allianz ROSNO Life will take part in the project contemplating comprehensive insurance coverage of the general public against the risk of an oncological disease, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

This project has become a part of the program for prevention of oncological diseases and provision of systematic assistance to all those who have already been diagnosed with cancer — a grave disease. According to the project participants’ plan, Allianz ROSNO Life will offer healthy individuals an insurance coverage against the risk of a diagnosed oncological disease.

The program implemented by the Non-Commercial Partnership "Equal Right to Life" contemplates the function of a personal Expert Attorney, who will be in charge for all necessary consulting, psychological and legal assistance to the patient, forming a personal treatment fund, and motivating healthy individuals to apply to medical institutions for health checks.

Mr. Dmitry Borisov, Executive Director of the Non-Commercial Partnership "Equal Right to Life": "The Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development has elaborated an oncological prevention program aimed primarily at early diagnostics of oncological diseases. Yet, unfortunately, it does not contemplate additional funding of drug supplies to those people who have already been diagnosed with cancer, despite the fact that, in our country, standard funding is much smaller than in Western Europe and even in the former Eastern bloc. Therefore, insurance coverage against the risk of oncological diseases generates one more source of funding for oncological patients, complementary to the funding sources already existing under the state guarantees. Furthermore, this project will enable full support for an oncological patient in form of a well-tuned system controlling the patient’s treatment from the moment he or she is diagnosed with an oncological disease and for the duration of treatment. This is a very important aspect, since insufficient awareness of a patient regarding the potential of the modern efficient medicine and his or her rights to use the same often lead to wasted time which the oncological patients do not have plenty of, and, as a result, to a loss of life".

Mr. Maxim Chernin, CEO of IC Allianz ROSNO Life, comments on the new agreement: "The social significance of prevention and reliable treatment of oncological diseases cannot be overemphasized, and, being a socially oriented company, we are glad to participate in implementation of a project so important. One of the basic principles of our work is generating the largest value for our clients. We are certain that our product which we plan to develop in course of this cooperation will enable people to feel themselves more confident in the future. For Allianz Eurasia, this is a new but very significant and promising activity, and we believe that people will judge it on its merits".
