OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 August 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ beer output decreased 7.5% on the year in January-July 2009 to 20.357 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.

OAO Krinitsa, based in Minsk, increased beer production 6.9% to 8.803 million decaliters.

OAO Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 3.771 million decaliters of beer in the first four months, a decrease of 3.1% on the year.

Syabar brewery, based in Bobruisk, in the Mogilev Region, produced 2.459 million decaliters of beer in the period, down 23.1% on the year.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, increased beer output 3.3% to 2.846 million decaliters.

OAO Brest Beer produced 1.598 million decaliters of beer, down 12%.

OAO Rechitsapivo, located in the Gomel Region, produced 649,000 decaliters of beer in the period, down 62.9%.

Beer offering in plastic bottles went down 5.2% to 15.492 million decaliters, in glass bottles fell 20.7% to 3.501 million decaliters, in kegs increased 4.4% to 1.075 million decaliters and in cans rose 38.8% to 289,000 decaliters.

Belarusian beer sales decreased 10.4% on the year in January-July to 18.801 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales edged up 0.9% to 7.768 million decaliters, Olivaria sales went down 0.4% to 3.753 million decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales went up 2.6% to 2.642 million decaliters, while sales of Brest Beer fell 14%, of Syabar decreased 26.3% and of Rechitspivo dropped 66.2%.
