OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 August 2009 was announced, that Nizhny Novgorod SDPS named after A.V. Vinter (NiSDPS, a part of the Generation Center Division of IES Holding) will reconstruct its transfer steam pipelines of the boilers No.6 and No.7 by the early 2009/2010 heating season.

The reconstruction will include replacement of the pipeline with expired service life, which enables the boilers No.6 and No.7 to operate in parallel for TG-3 turbogenerator and interconnects two stages of NiSDPS. A full-scale work on the project implementation started at the end of April after the completion of previous heating season. The generating facilities of the plant will operate through a new transfer line by 6 October.

"The reconstruction of the transfer steam pipeline will become a good present for the 85th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod SDPS that the plant will celebrate in 2010," - noted NiSDPS Technical Director Sergey Yarunichev.

Over 170 tons of pipelines and fittings are planned to replace during the works.  The steam pipeline will be routed in the place more convenient for operation. The cost of the reconstruction is 101 mln rub. The construction and installation work are carried out by OJSC E4- Energy Installation Center, the Nizhny Novgorod branch.

Nizhny Novgorod SDPS (NiSDPS) named after A.V. Vinter is located in the town of Balakhna of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The installed capacity of the plant is 144 MW, the heat capacity is 566 Gcal/h. The capacity of NiSDPS TG-3 turbogenerator is 80 MW, the capacity of the boiler No.6 is 320 t/h, and of the boiler No 7 - 420 t/h.
