OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2009. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) ascertains absence of problem of liquidity in the country’s banking system.

Elman Rustamov, CEO of CBA informed at a news conference today that  presently liquidity of the banking system makes up 19% at norm on the standards of the Basel committee at 8% and norm of CBA at 12%.

“There are not also with adequacy of capital,” E. Rustamov said. CBA ascertains  restoration of all indices of the banking system after the knock-down of global financial and economic crisis.

“Presently, loan portfolio, deposits, assets and capital of banks grow. At the same time, delivery of new loans exceeds the volumes of the returned lends, and overdue loan portfolio does not exceed 3.6%,” E. Rustamov said.
