OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2009. The investment management company Parex Asset Management (PAM) was issued a license to register its representative office in the city of Minsk. Belarus is the fourth CIS country where PAM is represented, reported the press-centre of Parex.

The company aims to develop its international business, including the former Soviet Union region, by offering its clients a wide range of financial solutions and Parex investment products. The main areas of business for the representative office shall be investment management advisory, market research, as well as promotion of investment opportunities in the Baltics and Eastern Europe.

Chairman of the Board of Parex Asset Management, Mr. Roberts Idelsons comments: “We consider Belarus as a very attractive region in terms of its investment potential and in terms of our offered product range. Our presence here will definitely strengthen our standings in the asset management market. We will offer customers innovative and competitive products, as well as professional financial advisory, built on our longstanding work experience in Eastern Europe.”

Parex Group has been represented in Belarus for 16 years, with the first Parex banka’s foreign representative office being opened in Minsk in 1993. The Bank’s subsidiary, Parex Leasing, has also been successfully operating in Minsk since 2005.
