OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2009. Eesti Energia’s Supervisory Board decided that the company’s management board would continue in office with the same members, with Sandor Liive as Chairman, reported the press-centre of Eesti Energia.

According to Juri Kao, Chairman of Eesti Energia’s Supervisory Board, the Supervisory Board is satisfied with the work of Sandor Liive, Chairman of Eesti Energia’s Management Board and the Management Board itself. “Eesti Energia’s Management Board is dedicated to the company’s development. Great challenges lie ahead and the development of projects that have been commenced must be continued,” said Kao regarding the Supervisory Board’s decision.

Sandor Liive said that Eesti Energia is facing three major challenges. “Our goals are to be successful in the common open market of the Baltic and Nordic countries, to invest into electricity production to replace ageing generation capacities, and to build up the domestic fuels production sector from oil shale on a whole new level, possessing global growth potential.” Liive further said that Eesti Energia stands on the verge of an exciting era.

The following members will continue as part of Eesti Energia’s Management Board: Margus Kaasik, Chief Financial Officer; Harri Mikk, Head of the Minerals, Oil, Biofuels Division; Raine Pajo, Head of the Electricity and Heat Generation Division and Margus Rink, Head of the Retail Division.
