OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2009. The Russian Bank for Development within the framework of SME lending support meeting in Krasnogorsk hold specialized consultations for the Moscow Oblast’s banks pertaining to participation in the state-sponsored SME lending support program which is implemented by RBD, reported the press-centre of RBD.

During the meeting Olesya Teploukhova, Director of SME Lending Department informed chief executives of financial institutions and SME representatives that 5 banks out of 161 applications for the program represent the Moscow Oblast. “The first stage of processing of applications is finished, the size of quotas for the Moscow Oblast’s banks amounts to RUR 465 million. Moreover in the nearest future RBD is expecting an inflow of new applications for a total amount of no less than RUR 300 million in order to fill the regional limit designated by the program for the Moscow Oblast”.

O. Teploukhova advised that the funding will be targeted to small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in the real economy. According to Mrs. Teploukhova within the Program a wide range of new areas of SME development was formed. Among them is SME support through infrastructure organizations: leasing companies, regional SME support funds, micro-finance and factoring organizations. “As early as at the stage of “pilot transactions” RBD realized high demand of these unconventional tools. Therefore we shall develop these areas along with the recognized lending through counter-party banks”, - she resumed.
