OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2009. The recertification audit of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) for compliance with the requirements of GOST RB 15.002-2003 is successfully completed at KAMAZ.

The auditor – Russian Register Certification Association – also conducted two inspection audits estimating the Quality Management System (QMS) for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 international standard and its Russian analogue GOST R ISO 9001-2001, and also – the Ecological Management System for compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 standard.

The experts of Russian Register established that the QMS and the Ecological Management System (EMS) of KAMAZ are developing and improving constantly. The quality of the major items and ecology of its production are as before the main priorities of KAMAZ activity. And ecological safety of production is now considered to be an inseparable part of the enterprise’s development strategy in view of the country’s forthcoming entry into WTO. With the ecological certificate KAMAZ has a reputation of a reliable partner and its vehicles are competitive on the markets of the EU countries.

In connection with the fact that KAMAZ Inc. is included into the list of the companies producing the automobile equipment which is purchased by the federal authorities, one of the main aims of the audit was extension of the term of the certificate in the System of Military Register till 2012.

21 departments including the automobile plant were audited as it had been planned. The representatives of Russian Register Certification Association met with the company’s top managers and the managers of the departments. The full compliance of the Quality Management System of KAMAZ Inc. with the above mentioned requirements was proved.

The auditors of Russian Register Certification Association highly assessed the current production and KAMAZ activities aimed at improvement of products. Vasily Krikun, chief auditor, made special mention of positive progress trend of QMS at the automobile plant and R&D Center.

Meanwhile, in view of implemented ISO 9001:2008 international standard, KAMAZ will start preparing for certification of its QMS for compliance with the requirements of this standard already in December 2009.

The final audit meeting was held at the office of Yury Klochkov, First Deputy Director General of KAMAZ Inc., CEO. The manager of OOO Russian Register–Povolzhie Andrey Yashin presented the certificate for the KAMAZ management system in the sphere of labour and occupational safety protection for compliance with the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 which had been issued as the result of the recertification audit in February 2009.
