OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2009. Mosgosstroynadzor, the state committee for construction projects implemented in Moscow, initiated the demolition of a structure on 1 Andropova Avenue built with no permission.

According to a press service of Mosgosstroynadzor, LLC Elvet acting as a customer and developer of the project has increased the area and height of the building under construction.

The Moscow City Committee Against Unauthorized Development examined the relevant documents submitted by Mosgosstroynadzor and recognized the areas built as unauthorized development and be liable to be demolished.

“LLC Elvet started taking the object down by itself not attracting funds from Moscow’s city budget,” the press service emphasized.

Commenting on the case, Anatoly Zayko, chairman of Mosgosstroynadzor, said the situation in Moscow turned for the better due to attention to the problem of unauthorized development from Mayor Yuri Luzhkov and his first deputy, Vladimir Resin.

More than 30 objects built with no permission have been demolished since the beginning of 2009.
