OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2009. The Federal Air Transport Agency (FATA) of the Russian Federation has certified Tolmachevo International Airport to admit IL-96-400 and its modifications starting from 18.09.2009.

The specialists of the aviation service of Tolmachevo airport (Novosibirsk) have been trained for ground terminal services of this type of airliner.

Tolmachevo International Airport (Novosibirsk) is one of the five largest international airports of Russia. It is the leading aviation enterprise in terms of transported passengers in the Asian part of Russia. Main shareholders: Russian Federation represented by the by the Federal Agency for Managing Federal Property – 51%, OOO Novaport- 38%.

Amount of cargo and mail handling in Tolmachevo International Airport in 2008 reached 20,5 th. tons (growth 10.9% to 2007).
