OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2009. The volume of underground construction in Moscow is to be increased by 150,000 square metres early.

“According to the plan aimed at developing the underground space of Moscow approved by the city government, a million square metres will be developed by 2011 what will be roughly 15 per cent of the whole development in Moscow,” the first deputy mayor, Vladimir Resin, said at the Moscow State University of Mines on September 29.

The official added that, depending on the results of the implementation of the plan, Moscow would try to increase the number of underground objects up to 20 per cent of all the objects commissioned per year.
