OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2009. Moscow Insurance Company has insured Christ the Saviour Cathedral against vandalism and terrorist acts for 6.1 billion roubles (~USD 203 million).

Among the insured movable and immovable property of the cathedral is its building, premises and facilities with interior and outer decoration, including paintings on the domes and walls, chancels, memorial plaques and sculptural compositions.

Besides, Moscow’s Christ the Saviour Cathedral is insured against fire-related incidents, including arson, acts of hooliganism, vandalism and terrorism.

The contract is scheduled to run for a year.
