OREANDA-NEWS. October 5, 2009. Vladivostok Air Company hold presentation of company’s new flights in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk for the heads of tour and air agencies and journalists of regional and federal mass-media.

During the event the company’s representatives introduced the prospective plans for the development of the route net of Vladivostok Air Company concerning Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk during winter 2009 season that will start on October 25, 2009 and end on March 27, 2010. During the constructive dialogue the parties exchanged opinions of the current situation in the market of air service and tourism in Sakhalin region and plans for future cooperation.

It should be noted that as for the passenger transportation load Vladivostok Air Company today steadily takes one of the leading places in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport and carries out regular flights to Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, Saint-Petersburg and Tokyo (Japan). At this it offers low fares to Sakhalin residents. For instance cost of the flight from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Saint-Petersburg is from 7990 rubles (without fees).

Since November 09, 2009 Vladivostok Air Company opens the new flight to Moscow and Sochi for Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk residents that departs on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The air company will carry out voyages at this route using the new system of joint flights. It allows connecting Sakhalin with Moscow and Sochi via Khabarovsk. This means that a Sakhalin passenger can get to the capital of Russia or to the famous resort at the Black sea with one ticket and with the minimum waiting period in intermediate airports. And moreover, from Khabarovsk to Moscow the flight is fulfilled on comfortable wide-body Airbus A330.

One-time luggage check-in system used by Vladivostok Air delivers passengers from the necessity to register their luggage at each airport. For example, if you go to Sochi from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, you should just check in your luggage at the airport of departure and then get it in Sochi airport. Low fares offered by the company will be a pleasant bonus for the trip. For example, the price for a ticket to Moscow at air company’s site www.vladivostokavia.ru is from 5500 rubles and to Sochi — from 7000 rubles (one way, fees not included).

It is worth to note that arrival of A330-300 is a qualitatively new offer at the Russian market of air transportations that gives the highest level of service and comfort to the passengers. The other air companies in Russia and CIS have no such aircrafts. Passengers of Vladivostok Air Company have already seen to the true value the advantages of this aircraft at non-stop flights from Moscow to Vladivostok and from Moscow to Yekaterinburg.

The aircraft A330 owned by Vladivostok Air Company is equipped with 327 passenger seats: 24 business class seats and 303 economy class seats. Low level of noise during the flight, enough clearance between seats, 2 wide gangways, improved air conditioning, wide-spread illumination, video and audio systems — all these advantages make A330 especially comfortable and beneficially distinct from the other aircrafts. In the near future business cabin of this aircraft will be equipped with individual portable video-players and exclusive library of classics.

The air company intends to go on updating and enlargement of its Airbus fleet: the aircrafts A330 and A320 during autumn 2009 — spring 2010. During the recent exhibition "MAKS-2009" a draft contract was signed about the purchase of 6 short-haul aircrafts An-148 that will fulfill interregional transportations.

It is not the limit for Vladivostok Air Company, and in the new winter schedule it allows the Sakhalin residents using Vladivostok and Khabarovsk airports as the key points for joint flights to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski and Krasnoyarsk. Besides, at present preparation of flights to many cities of Russia and CIS countries (Baku, Erevan, Dushanbe) is running short.

In future the company intends both to increase the number of flights from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and to expand the scope of flights in summer 2010 season. The number of transfer flights via Khabarovsk and Vladivostok will be increased as well. Moreover, Vladivostok Air Company reminds the Sakhalin residents that there is a subsidized transportation for the youth up to 23 inclusively and for retirees 60 plus to Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Sochi that is prolonged up to October 30, 2009. The good news for these citizens is that in the nearest future the air company will open the subsidized fare ticket sale for summer 2010.
