OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2009. A new IMF report on the economic situation in the world predicts in 2010 the zero growth in the Moldovan economy. At the same time, for 2009, the IMF provides the decrease of GDP in Moldova by 9%, inflation - 1,4% and the current account deficit - 11,8%.

The largest decline in 2009, according to IMF forecasts, will be registered in Armenia - 15,6% and Ukraine - 14%, followed by Russia - 7,5%, Georgia - 4%, Kazakhstan - 2%. At the same time, in 2009 economic growth in CIS will be achieved by Tajikistan - 7,5%, Uzbekistan - 7%, Turkmenistan - 4%, Tajikistan - 2%, Kyrgyzstan - 1,5%.

At the same time, the largest GDP increase in 2010 is projected in Turkmenistan - 15,3%. In Azerbaijan, GDP growth will amount to 7,4%, Uzbekistan - 7%, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan - to 3%, Ukraine - 2,7%, Kazakhstan and Georgia - 2%, Byelorussia - 1,8%, Russia - 1,5% , Armenia - 1,2%.
