OREANDA-NEWS. October 7, 2009. Director General of KAMAZ Inc. Sergey Kogoghin and Director General of OAO State Transport Leasing Company Victor Klochay signed a cooperation treaty in Moscow.

As per the treaty, by the end of this year KAMAZ will have delivered over 1.5 thousand chassis and vehicles to the tune of more than 2 billion roubles to State Transport Leasing Company (STLC).

This treaty became a logical continuation of the cooperation agreement between two companies. The agreement was aimed at guaranteed provision of up-to-date, multifunctional, high-tech and reliable road equipment for the Russian transport organizations. The agreement was signed by Victor Klochay and Sergey Kogoghin in Naberezhnye Chelny on 15 July, in the presence of Russian Minister of Transport Igor Levitin and Chairman of Tatarstan Government Rustam Minnikhanov.

OAO STLC plans to purchase not only KAMAZ vehicles and special equipment, but also chassis for road equipment producers which will mount necessary equipment on these chassis. As the representatives of STLC emphasized, they will focus on high-performance modern equipment to be leased to road building companies. Cheap, but old-fashioned and inefficient equipment won’t be purchased. In particular, since January 2010 KAMAZ Inc. will have been producing only restyled vehicles equipped with modernized cabs and new engines and gearboxes made by JVs CUMMINS KAMA and ZF KAMA respectively.

Each vehicle delivered under the treaty will be equipped with GPS and sensors for remote monitoring of the basic operating parameters.

Moreover, it’s planned to organize backup service and post-warranty service (according to the duration of leasing contracts) for vehicles delivered by KAMAZ on the basis of KAMAZ service centers in all Russian regions. This measure will help to extend service life of vehicles.
