OREANDA-NEWS On 09 October was announced, that PAVA, the largest grain processor East of Urals, ships oatmeal flour to confectionery makers of the Khabarovsk and Altay Territories, the Buryat Republic. Positive feedback on the product quality was received from confectioners in the Amur region. Currently the company is in talks to sell flour to manufacturers in the European part of the country. They have already conducted testings of the product and are ready to place the first orders.

To recap, Achinsk mill (PAVA branch in the Krasnoyarsk Territory) started manufacturing flour in early 2009. In Russia, oatmeal flour is a grade in short supply, mostly used by confectionery enterprises for production of oatmeal cookies popular in Russia and abroad. Due to growing consumption of healthy nutrition bread, this flour valued for high protein and low starch combination is now used more often for manufacturing various baked goods.
