OREANDA-NEWS On 09 October was announced, that Belarus’ international reserves, based on the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) methodology, went up 26.7% in January-September to USD 3.878 bln as of October 1, 2009.

As of October 1, foreign currency reserves amounted to USD 2.475 bln, down 5% in January-September, the amount of monetary gold reached the equivalent of USD 736.9 mln, up 100%, and other assets were at USD 82.2 mln, up 2.1%.

Special drawing rights were at USD 583.6 million as of October 1, up from USD 1 mln on January 1, 2009. Belarus’ IMF reserve position is at USD 0 million, showing no change
