OREANDA-NEWS On 09 October COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), the largest operator of integrated telecommunication services in Russia and the CIS, announced that in September 2009 the number of Internet broadband subscribers of ZAO Channel 7 (a member of COMSTAR-UTS group) in the city of Norilsk exceeded 15 thousand, with more than 36 thousand households being the company subscribers for cable TV services (CTV).

In Norilsk, for the last six month the number of COMSTAR broadband subscribers grew by 12.8%. The growth was promoted by operator marketing events, versatile tariff policy and professional work of engineering department providing high quality services.

Dmitri Kadantsev, Head of Corporate Customers Department, ZAO Channel 7, said: "This is a certain milestone we crossed with confidence. We are really glad to see the demand for the product we make keeps growing. However, this does not mean now we can make a rest and complacently gather fruits of our work for many years. On the contrary, with each new subscriber we are inspired to go on with further effort."
