OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2009. A modern enterprise extended the industrial infrastructure in Lebap Velayat on the eve of the 18th anniversary of independence. Construction of the cotton spinning factory – the largest in the country was completed in Turkmenabat town. It is supplied with world-class manufacturing equipment produced by the well-known German and Italian companies. Equipment was successfully tested in industrial conditions. The new production lines have manufactured a pilot batch of products, thus demonstrating their effectiveness and reliability.

Construction of the largest cotton spinning complex was launched in accordance with the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of January 23, 2008 and aimed at fulfilling the tasks set by the National Programme “The Strategy of Economic, Political and Cultural Development of Turkmenistan for the period till 2020” and enhancing the export potential of the textile industry. The investment project was implemented by the Engin Group Consortium (the British Virgin Islands). The foreign builders cooperated with the Turkmen specialists, whose selfless labour was crowned with success. The construction project was implemented in a timely manner. The factory extended the network of the enterprises in the first industrial zone of the administrative centre of Leap Velayat.

The industrial computer control system manages and monitors the manufacturing processes at the factory. State-of-the-art equipment installed in the shops allow manufacturing yarn from Turkmen cotton in compliance with the international quality standards that guarantees the profound export potential of the factory for a substantial portion of commodities will be supplied to world markets. After the factory reaches the estimated capacity it will produce 17,700 tons of cotton yarn a year.

A large group of workers and specialists in various fields were trained to manage the manufacturing processes. 500 new jobs are created at the enterprise where the necessary social and working conditions are provided to local personnel.

The manufacturing process meets the environmental requirements. Preference is given to environmentally friendly raw materials and advanced technologies that will contribute to conserving natural resources and reducing production loss.

There are the auxiliary facilities in the territory of the factory including autonomous water, gas and electric power supply networks and warehouses. The adjacent territory is planted with trees and shrubs.

The ceremony of opening the new enterprises is timed to the Independence Day celebrations.
