OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2009. Uralkali (Berezniki, Perm Territory) has completed the renovation of an employee sanatorium. The project took two years and the cost of work and new equipment exceeded 100 million roubles.

The Uralkali sanatorium was built in 1977. The renovation, initiated in October 2007, resulted in the sanatorium’s total renewal and reequipment with modern facilities. The exterior has been updated and redesigned with high quality materials and the grounds have been improved. The spacious and comfortable rooms have been provided with showers and air conditioners.  The dining-hall has been completely renovated and new kitchen facilities, changes in the food supply system and meal selection have improved the menu.

The sanatorium’s medical facilities have been modernised and new foreign medical equipment purchased. A wide range of hydropathic treatments - including "pearl", sea, iodide-bromine and full immersion baths and healing showers are provided for the pleasure of guests. The equipment makes it possible to treat cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal system abnormalities, dental and gynecological diseases and nervous disorders. Fangotherapy, physiotherapy, magnet therapy, speleo treatment, and Nauheim baths are also available. Medicines have been selected in line with the recommendations of the Perm Medical Academy. Strict competitive selection procedures have been used to select physicians and nurses.

The health program lasts 14 days and 100 people can stay at any one time. As well as providing services to Uralkali employees, the plan is to resume recreational services for the company’s retired staff and to organise a "Mother and Child" summer camp.

The price of health programs ranges from 15 to 35 thousand roubles. In line with Uralkali’s policy on health, the majority of employees will pay 10–25 percent at most of the total price.
