OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2009. Some 100 five-storey residential buildings developed during the 1st period of industrial house construction will have been demolished in Moscow this year.

“This year the demolition has faced difficulties caused by a great number of engineering services to be removed or renewed in the areas where houses are taken down,” Viktor Aistov, first deputy head of the Department of Urban Development of Moscow, said on October 16.

According to the official, the Integrated Body for Urban Design Policy and Development of Moscow expects to have about 100 five-storey houses demolished in 2009.

The last structure of such a kind is stipulated by the program on taking down the dilapidated five-storey houses in Moscow to be demolished in 2012.
