OREANDA-NEWS. October 23, 2009. OAO Tatneft is planning to build 30 petrol station complexes in Belarus in 2009-2010. In the framework of implementing these plans leaders of the Tolochinsky and Dokshitsky districts of Belarus signed an agreement with IOOO "Tatbelnefteprodukt" at the autumn investment forum in Vitebsk on October 15, 2009. TATNEFT registered this company in Belarus in May of the current year for implementation of the Company's projects in the country, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

This event followed the Intergovernmental Protocol of activities to promote cooperation for the period 2009-2010 between Belarus and the Republic of Tatarstan signed in Minsk on January 21 this year. The document was signed by Sergei Sidorsky, Prime Minister of Belarus, and Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan. Sidorski then said that Belarus is interested in cooperation with Tatarstan in the oil sector. He noted that Tatarstan, as well as Belarus, retained a strong petrochemical complex stating: "We've been doing a lot to make petrochemical products come both from Tatarstan to Belarus as well as from Belarus to Tatarstan. This includes rubber, steel cord and other products".

In the Company follows the strategy of development of a retail marketing network of OAO TATNEFT till 2011. The total number of petrol station complexes of TATNEFT makes more than 600 units in the regions of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries. The annual volume of sales of petroleum and gas products through TATNEFT's petrol filling stations amounts to than 1.1 million tons.
