OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2009. At the Pacific Fleet the unique operation in its kind will pass for the first time in Russia's Navy as a part of development and introduction of new medical technologies.

At the command post of the Pacific Fleet council of physicians using telemedicine complex will advise the team of doctors at the time of the test operation aboard the Guards missile cruiser Varyag.

This is the first of its kind experience in the medical experiment at Russia's Navy. The operation aboard warship is to be conducted by the leading surgeon of the Naval Clinical Hospital of the Pacific Fleet Lieutenant-Colonel Anatoly Soroka, Candidate of Medical Sciences.

For he first time in the Navy of Russia at GMC Varyag is deployed a mobile telemedicine complex, which integrates video conferencing, interfaces with the peripheral equipment and abilities to work with computer applications. The complex is unique and has no Russian analogues. This equipment is intended for telemedicine consultations and remote diagnostics, both in real time or in deferred mode.
