OREANDA-NEWS. October 30, 2009. The experience of IDGC of North-West’s companies in the field of child electricity traumatism prevention was presented within the framework of Karelia’s project.

IDGC of North-West has been successfully implementing the uniform program on electricity traumatism prevention among children for several years. Power specialists hold it together with educational establishments, the Ministry for Emergency Management, and other departments. The experience accumulated within the limits of this project is also presented in Karelia within the limits of the “Safe School” Russian-Finnish project.

Documents on electricity safety prepared in all of IDGC of North-West’s branches are placed on the web site of the Karelian Fund for Education Development. It also contains the letter of the Ministry for Education following the results of a joint meeting with representatives of the “Karelenergo” branch of IDGC of North-West sent by the heads of the municipal educational institutions –participants of the “Safe School” project. It also has the instruction on electricity safety, list of the “Karelenergo’s” industrial branches with names and contact details of their managers.

A separate section of the website is devoted to illustration materials. Here you can examine and, if necessary, use posters, bookmarks, pocket calendar cards and other kinds of products issued by “Karelenergo” and other branches of IDGC of North-West during several years. All materials are bright, colourful and clear for pupils of any age.
