OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. The aggregated throughput of NCC terminals in January-September 2009 amounted to 737,759 TEU (-17% comp. to January-September 2008). These figures do not include the results of the out-of-service Ukraine’s Ukrtranscontainer, where all operations have been put on hold since June due to unsettled controversy with the local seaport administration.

Russia’s NCC terminals, FCT and NUTEP, in August and September showed the best results from the beginning of 2009, which proves the stable market recovery. The terminal’s figures are steadily coming to last year’s level.

The throughput of First Container Terminal (FCT, St.Petersburg) in September 2009 amounted to 83,768 TEU (-6.1% comp. to September 2009). In January-September 2009 FCT handled 659,066 TEU (-17.7% comp. to 2008).

The throughput of NUTEP (Novorossiysk) in September 2009 was 10 737 TEU (+96.9% comp. to September 2009). In January- September the terminal handled 78 693 TEU (-10.5% comp. to 2008).
