OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, has signed a law on approval of the Joint Film-Making Agreement ratified by Milli Majlis (country’s parliament).

The Agreement was signed by the Commonwealth of Independent States member countries in Kishinev, Moldova, on 14 November 2008 for the purpose of assistance to cinematography and strengthening of economic and cultural ties between the CIS counterparts.

The document defines frames of co-operation on joint film-making. The Statute (integral part of this Agreement) envisages the order and conditions of conferring the “national film” status to such films.
