OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2009. COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), the leading operator of integrated telecom services in Russia and the CIS, announces winner in special category “Useful Internet. Secure Internet”, organized by COMSTAR-UTS as part of All-Russian design and photographs contest “IN LARGE PRINT”, dedicated to Corporate social responsibility (contest web-site http://www.konkurs2009.ru/). COMSTAR-UTS acted as title partner of this contest.

The COMSTAR-UTS jury highly appreciated visual and ideological components of all the works sent for “Useful Internet. Secure Internet” category of the contest. The task was to show social role of Internet provider under access to Internet services popularization process, subscriber protection against illegal or insecure content, comfort environment creation for all the Internet-users, in design-works of this category.

The winner is Svetlana Sputnova (Moscow), author of "Will your child return?", in which basic ideas of this very special category are most fully reflected.

”Today Internet has entered all the life activities areas and affect deeply lifestyle of modern people and especially our children, which seldom can imagine their lives without access to the World web. Internet provides unique opportunities for communication, data search and storage, education and enlightenment. But the reverse of the medal is Internet being an instrument of illegal content distribution. General secure access to internet provision for Russian children, their education, social adaptation, actual information obtaining, broadening oа outlook, – are of the most actual task for all Internet-providers. Thanks to all, who participated in our category! It is our joint contribution into secure and useful Internet development”, – said JSC COMSTAR-UTS PR-Director Elena Seregina.

The objective of  All-Russian design and photographs contest “IN LARGE PRINT” – to draw attention of society to significant corporate social projects, and show the way nowadays Russian commercial companies recognize their responsibility of major customers of their services and products, i.e. people, community, state. The contest is held from 19 of September up to 25 of November 2009. It is arranged by non-profit organization "Cloudwatcher", and is also supported by British high school for design and Centre for design ARTPLAY on Yauza.

From 22 to 25 November 2009 15 best works, including 7 winners and prizewinners (3 as a result of Internet-audience voting, 3 – as a result of professional jury voting, 1 – up to COMSTAR-UTS decision, and also 8 best works will participate in ARTPLAY on Yauza (Moscow) exhibition.
