OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2009. Cargo throughput of Commercial Port of Vladivostok OJSC (VMTP OJSC) increased by 2.1% (5 mln 213.4 thousand tons) in January-October, 2009 as compare to the corresponding period of 2008. Volume of cargoes handled in October, 2009 increased by 18% (to 647.7 thousand tons), informed company’s press service with reference to Sergei Lopunov, Production Director of VMTP.

It is also informed, VMTP handled 3 mln 616.7 thousand tons of cargo for export and  790.1 thousand tons of imported cargo, 806.6 thousand tons of coastal cargo within 10 months, 2009. VMTP handled 182, 889 TEU of containerized cargo. 69, 457 TEU – coastal cargo; 54, 969 TEU - import; 58,463 TEU - export.

In October, 2009 the port exported – 414.9 thousand tons; imported – 105.2 thousand tons; handled 127.6 thousand tons of coastal cargo.  The port handled 25, 246 TEU of containerized cargo in October current year, including coastal cargo -  9, 286 TEU, import – 7, 503 TEU, export – 8, 457 TEU.
