OREANDA-NEWS. November 09, 2009. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, for 9 months of this year the volume of Moldovan exports totaled US896.4 million, decreasing as compared to the same period of the last year by 25,1%.

The volume of exports to CIS countries amounted to US 327.8 million, declining by 28,2%. Deliveries of Moldovan goods to EU have decreased by 23,4% - up to US 477.9 million. The volume of imports to Moldova in January-September 2009 amounted to US 2 billion 282,8 million, decreasing as compared with the same period of the last year by 37,8%. At the same time, imports to Moldova from the CIS countries have declined by 36,3% - up to US 811.8 million, and to EU states - by 38,5% - up to US 997.6 million.

Trading deficit of Moldova with the EU countries has decreased by 47,9% - up to US 519.7 million, and with the CIS countries - by 40,8% - up to US 484 million. The largest trading deficit in January-September was registered with the Ukraine - US 266.9 million, followed by: China - US 157.9 million, Kazakhstan - US 148.8 million, Germany - US 121.7 million, Turkey - US 99.4 million, Italy - US 59,6 million, Russia - US 40,8 million, Romania - US 39.7 million, Belarus - US 36.8 million and Austria - US 36.2 million.
