OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2009. Belarusian Oil Company (BOC) is planning to open a subsidiary enterprise in Ukraine, Nikolai Vasilevich, BOC Deputy Director General, told a press conference on 16 November.

The negotiations on this issue are underway with the BOC shareholders. The opening of the subsidiary in Ukraine is expected to make the sales of oil products more efficient and cover the whole market. The company is now considering the procedural issues, including a form, deadlines and location of the new enterprise. Nikolai Vasilevich said that the BOC enterprises already operating on the foreign market (a subsidiary in London and a representative office in Poland) have proved effective in promoting Belarusian oil products.

The Ukrainian market is one of the most important for the company, Deputy Director General of Mozyr Oil Refinery Sergei Solodovnikov noted. The northern regions of Ukraine are traditional consumers of light oil products and in particular of diesel oil made by Mozyr Oil Refinery. The plant is planning to enter the market with its automobile petrol, which will be improved to comply with the Euro-5 standard.
