OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2009. Net profit of Nakhodka Commercial seaport OJSC (part of Evraz Group) increased by 2.3 times (to RUR583.947 mln) under RAS within 9 months 2009 as compared to the corresponding period of 2008, as of accounting data of the enterprise. In January-September company’s income increased by 1.35 times (to RUR2 bln 35.901 mln) against corresponding period of 2008.

Increase of volumes of cargo (coal, non-ferrous metals) handled in Q III, 2009 was the main factor that influenced income growth, stated the report.

Nakhodka Commercial Seaport OJSC is the major stevedoring company of Nakhodka port (Far East). The port is owned by Evraz industrial group (former EvrazHolding).  It is a dispatch point for products manufactured by the Group’s companies to Asian countries. Cargo turnover of the port amounted to 15.2 mln tons. As per 2008 results, net profit of the port amounted to RUR474.676 mln against net loss of RUR123.114 mln in 2007.  In Q I-II, 2009 net profit of Nakhodka Commercial seaport OJSC increased by 3.3.times (to RUR390.553 mln) against the corresponding period of 2008. In January-June, 2009 the company’s income increased by 18% (to RUR1 bln 153.161 mln).
