OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2009. For 2010 Moldova predicts the increase in the exports volumes as compared to indicators expected at the end of 2009 by 12%- up to US 1 billion 425 million. As it was informed in the government, it is also planned that in 2010, import volumes will increase by 15% - from US 3 billion 175 million up to US 3 billion 650 million.

In 2010 the negative trade balance of Moldova will increase by 17, 1% - from US 1.9 billion to US 2 billion 225 million. These projections were taken into account during drafting the Law on the State Budget for 2010, which was submitted to consideration of the government on November 30.

Following 2009 the Cabinet of ministers of Moldova predicts a decrease in the export volumes by 20%, imports - by 35%. The forecast on the exports was made in the light of a downward trend in the output in agricultural sector and industry, as well as the reduced demand for Moldovan products at the foreign markets due to the global financial crisis. The decline in imports is due to the lower domestic demand in the country, particularly for imported goods.
