OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2009. International rating agency for the first time carried out the research on the information transparency in the Russian electric power sector which will be presented at the conference.

During the conference the analysts of the corporate governance rating service will present the results of the issue concerning the transparency and information disclosure in 40 Russian electric power companies in 2009. Besides, they will present the reports concerning the credit trends in the European and Russian electric power.  

The research of information transparency in the Russian electric power is carried out for the first time. It is devoted to the assessment of the level of the considerable corporate information disclosure carried out by the Russian power companies and comprises 40 major companies of the sector which possess the most liquid shares.

The analysis is carried out in relation to the maximum level, desirably for the “rational investor”, that is the complete amount of the accessible information concerning the most important parameters of the operational and the financial activity of the corporate governance mechanisms in the companies.
