OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2009. Prices for fertilizers reached their maximum.  This allows increasing the capacities of the domestic producers in good time for the spring season. Currently, prices for ammonia is USD 280-285 per ton, urea is USD 270-290 (prime cost is USD 210), and ammonia nitrate is USD 210-215 per ton (prime cost is USD 200).

Millennium Capital: the situation at the fertilizers market has also led to an increase of Stirol capacities utilization. Taking into account seasonal activities of farmers, this positive trend will keep through March 2010. But we should not forget about the natural gas price next year. Millennium Capital doesot know exactly whether or not the price will go up.
