OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2009. The Russian Minister of Transport Igor Levitin has chaired a regular meeting of JSC Aeroflot Board of Directors, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

The Board approved in principle the draft of the Company’s operational and financial-economic plan and the budget for 2010 based upon the growth of regular passenger flights and passenger traffic. By the end of 2010, the company plans to earn a net profit of 3.2 billion RUB, or 2.7% of revenues.

In 2010, the Company plans modernization of Aeroflot’s website and call center. Implementing the suggested strategy for the key development areas will allow automation of the company’s major business processes.

A number of personnel issues were considered. The Board appointed Vladimir Smirnov as Deputy CEO for Procurement and member of JSC Aeroflot Management Board. The Board accepted Vladimir Gerasimov’s resignation and dismissed him from the position due to his transfer to another appointment for health reasons.
