OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2009. On December 7 2009 Iterfax Information Services Group distributed a message of Mr Sergey Kovalev – the President of the Federal Trade Union of Air Traffic Controllers of Russia (FPAD) - stating that the two thirds majority of air traffic controllers in Moscow Airport Domodedovo had to submit letters of resignation due to transfer to a low-wage job.

The information distributed is unjustified and expresses a subjective opinion of Mr Kovalev. No any letter of resignation due to transfer to a low-wage job was submitted by air traffic controllers of Moscow Airport Domodedovo. As part of implementation of the Federal Aviation Rules “Preparation and Operation of Flights in Civil Aviation of the Russian Federation” approved by the order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation # 128 dated July 31 2009 Moscow Airport Domodedovo is setting up a dedicated division responsible for ground movement at the aerodrome.

The changes are not supposed to lower the wages but on the contrary will give an option of increasing earnings of ground movement controllers based on their work experience and background.

Thus the information being distributed is clearly untrue and hurts business reputation of the company.
