OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. The 14th Arbitration Appeal Court upheld the decision and determination of the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Vologda region (OFAS Russia) on recognizing the fact of concerted actions between "Lukoil-Volganefteproduct" Ltd. and "Enticom - invest" Ltd. for fixing retail prices in the oil products market in the Vologda region. The court of primary jurisdiction arrived to similar conclusions.

On 11th March 2009, the Vologda OFAS Russia found that the companies violated Article 11 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition".

The case was initiated upon the findings of a weekly price monitoring of oil products in the Vologda region, carried upon by the regional antimonopoly body to execute the instructions issued by the Central Office of FAS Russia. The Vologda OFAS Russia discovered concerted actions between "Lukoil-Volganefteproduct" Ltd. and "Enticom - invest" Ltd. towards fixing and maintaining the same level of retail prices for motor petrol and diesel fuel in certain period of 2008 in seven local markets in the Vologda region.

The Vologda OFAS Russia issued determinations to the companies to eliminate the antimonopoly violations and imposed fines for the total amount 179,591,892 Rubles.
