OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. Dmitry Medvedev, the President of the Russian Federation, signed an edict on awarding Igor Artemyev, the Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), the title "an Honoured Economist of the Russian Federation".

Igor Artemyev was born in 1961 in Leningrad. He obtained two university degrees of higher education; is an author of 43 research papers and inventions, and published 6 books (monographs) on the subjects of budget and economics; holds a research degree of a Candidate of Science. Mr Artemyev has been the Head of FAS Russia since 2004.
